Use them or lose them
Plaud's plans reset every month. Take a vacation or have a quiet stretch, and the minutes you paid for simply vanish. The meter never sleeps, even when you do.
Scribefy connects to your Plaud account and transcribes the same recordings, with speaker labels and AI meeting notes included, atup to 50% off all Plaud prices (June 2026 list). The star: Unlimited, $11.99 a month billed annually, 40% under Plaud's own annual Unlimited — your whole library and everything new, with no meter.

The Plaud is a great little machine. That's why you carry it everywhere. The trouble starts when you want to read what it heard.
Plaud's plans reset every month. Take a vacation or have a quiet stretch, and the minutes you paid for simply vanish. The meter never sleeps, even when you do.
The device is a one-time buy. Reading what it records is $216–$360 a year, every year, forever. The audio is yours. The words are rented.
Busy week or quiet week, you pay for 1,200 minutes either way, whether you transcribe 200 of them or all of them. Flat rates bill you for the meetings you didn't have.
The recorder is great. The meter is the problem.
So we replaced the meter.
No terminal, no exports, no copy-paste marathon. Connect once and your recordings are simply there, waiting for your word.
Grab a tiny desktop helper (about 2 MB, one click) and sign in to your own Plaud account on your own computer. Apple and Google sign-in work just like in the official app. That's the whole setup.
Every recording appears in Scribefy as it syncs: titles, dates, durations. Just the list. Your audio keeps living in your Plaud account, and your Plaud app doesn't change at all.
Pick a recording and click Transcribe. Minutes later it's words: a clean transcript, labeled by speaker, with AI meeting notes and summaries ready to copy anywhere. Recordings you skip just stay in your Plaud, untouched.
Transcription is always your call. On Unlimited, the whole library is simply included.
Every transcript comes back separated by speaker, with timestamps you can quote. From there, one click turns it into meeting notes, a summary, or a note built from your own prompt. Included with every plan, not sold as an add-on.
Quick recap before we dive in: scope is the fall launch, and the open question is still the onboarding flow.
Design is ready on my side. What I need from this call is a decision on the pricing page copy. Legal flagged two claims last week.
Let's lock the claims today, then. Ana, can your team turn the revised copy around by Thursday?
Thursday works if we freeze scope now. I'll send the summary and action items right after this.
Paid plans transcribe on our premium engine — sharper speaker separation (Unlimited: first 100 h/mo); the Free tier uses our standard engine. Either way, if a run isn't right, transcribing the same audio again is free.
Every transcript and every AI note becomes something you can talk to. Ask a question, attach the notes that matter as context, and get answers grounded in what was actually said.
The chat reads your transcripts and the notes you attach. Answers come from your recordings, not thin air.
You've been recording for months. The kickoff calls, the lectures, the interviews you meant to get back to. Any plan can open any recording in your library — old or new. On metered plans each transcription spends minutes; Unlimited removes the meter entirely. Your whole archive and everything you record next, for a fixed price.
Unlimited is best as a yearly plan: $143.88 a year, which works out to $11.99 a month, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Prefer month to month? It's $17.99/mo, same library, cancel anytime.
Like for like: the same volume of transcription, priced side by side. No creative accounting.

Fair question. A price this different needs a reason, so here's the whole arithmetic.
Plaud did, and it's genuinely good. But hardware, logistics and a big consumer app all have to be paid for. Scribefy is software with one job: transcription. Small machine, small bill.
Flat monthly plans price in all the minutes people never use. Per-minute pricing doesn't have to: you pay for exactly what you run, and our costs scale the same way. The savings are structural, not promotional.
Your audio stays in your Plaud account and your transcripts export freely, so we can't keep you by holding your data hostage. The price has to be the reason you stay. That's the deal we chose.
Meetings, client sessions, lectures, interviews: your recordings are sensitive. Every design decision starts there.
Recordings live in your Plaud account, as always. Scribefy fetches a file only when you hit Transcribe. We don't hoard your audio, and deleting from Scribefy never touches your Plaud library.
Every transcript exports as TXT, SRT or Markdown in one click. No export tax, no walled garden. Paste them into ChatGPT, Claude, Notion, your case file, anywhere.
The ~2 MB desktop helper signs in to Plaud on your computer, with the same login you already use, Apple and Google included. It syncs your recording list; your password isn't our business.
No contract, no exit fee. If you cancel, or if we ever disappear, your transcripts export and your audio is still in your Plaud account. Start with a $6.50 pack; risk the price of lunch.
Record everything, like you already do. Then transcribe the calls that actually need words on paper, and let the rest sit for free. Selective is finally cheaper.
you choose, recording by recordingConsultations, case notes, sessions. Your audio remains in your Plaud account; the transcript is yours to hold, export, or delete. Nothing sensitive gets a second home by default.
audio stays in your accountA $6.50 pack covers weeks of classes at $0.65 an hour, and July can't take your minutes away. Buy once, spend them exactly as fast or as slow as the syllabus does.
packs never expireTwo-hour conversations come back labeled by speaker with timestamps to quote from. And if a run isn't right, re-transcribing the same audio costs nothing.
speaker labels on every tierStart free every month. Add a pack when you need one. Prefer a rhythm? There's a plan for that. Every tier includes speaker labels, AI meeting notes, summaries and chat.
Annual billing shown. Monthly billing is also available: the Steady plan at $9/mo and Unlimited at $17.99/mo.
Every tier includes: speaker labels · timestamps · AI meeting notes, summaries & notes from your own prompts · chat with your recordings · TXT/SRT/Markdown export · free re-transcription of the same audio.
All plans can transcribe any recording in your library, old or new. On metered plans (Free, packs, Steady) every transcription spends plan minutes; Unlimited removes the meter entirely.
Paid plans (minute packs, Steady, Unlimited) transcribe on our premium engine, with sharper speaker separation; the Free tier uses our standard engine — the same full transcript, solid accuracy. Unlimited runs premium for the first 100 h each month, then continues unlimited on the standard engine.
You're charged once per audio file. Skipped recordings cost nothing.
Scribefy's helper runs on your computer and signs in to your own account, the same way the official app does, then syncs your recording list. You're accessing your own recordings with your own login. We don't share credentials across users, don't scrape other people's data, and don't touch anything that isn't yours. We can't speak for another company's policies, which is one more reason we built Scribefy so your transcripts export freely and your audio keeps its home in your Plaud account — a file is only read when you ask for its transcription.
No catch in the price: we don't carry hardware costs, and on-demand pricing means we don't bill you for idle minutes. Our costs scale with your actual use, so the price can too. The honest trade-off: we're a small, new product that does one thing. Plaud's app has features we don't (mind maps, a phone app). If you mainly want your words at a fair price, that trade-off is the whole point.
Yes, and there are two engines. Paid plans (minute packs, Steady, Unlimited) run on our premium engine: our highest accuracy, with sharper speaker separation (who-said-what), timestamps and strong handling of real-world audio like meetings and lectures (on Unlimited, premium covers your first 100 h each month — see the fair-use question below). The Free tier runs on our standard engine — the same full transcript, solid accuracy, just slightly less precise at telling voices apart. Your free 300 minutes each month show you the product on the standard engine; any paid plan unlocks the premium one. Either way, re-transcribing the same audio costs nothing, so if a run isn't right, run it again.
Your audio's home is your Plaud account. Scribefy syncs the list of recordings (titles, dates, durations). The audio itself is only fetched when you hit Transcribe on that specific file, and what we keep is your transcript. Your text is yours: export it or delete it whenever you want. We never sell or share your content.
You'd walk away whole: transcripts export anytime as TXT, SRT or Markdown, and your audio is still right there in your Plaud account. There's nothing of yours we could take down with us. That's a deliberate design choice, not luck. And if you want to test the waters first, start with the free tier or a $6.50 pack.
One download, one click, one time. The helper is about 2 MB and opens the same Plaud sign-in you already use: email, Apple or Google all work. After that, everything happens in your browser; the helper's job is done at sign-in and sync.
Yes. Scribefy works wherever your Plaud does. Prices are in USD, and the transcription engine handles dozens of languages: your lectures in Portuguese and your client calls in English land in the same library.
Hard to do by accident: on metered plans, every recording shows its length and estimated cost before you confirm, and nothing is downloaded or charged until you click. You're billed once per audio file, and re-running the same file later is free. On Unlimited there's no per-file cost in the first place: transcribe freely.
If you like it, absolutely. Nothing about your device or app changes: Scribefy is a layer on top of your recordings, not a replacement for your recorder. Keep your free Plaud minutes, too; Scribefy is for everything beyond them.
Yes. All of them, on any plan. Free, packs, Steady, and Unlimited can open recordings from before you joined — your full library, back to your very first sync. On metered plans each transcription spends plan minutes; Unlimited removes the meter, so you transcribe the archive and everything new for a fixed price (fair use applies).
For a person with a calendar, yes — you never watch a meter and you never get cut off. Your first 100 hours of fresh audio each month (five hours every working day) run on our highest-accuracy engine. Past that, transcription simply continues on our standard engine: still unlimited, the same full transcript, just slightly less precise at telling voices apart. The line resets each month on your renewal date, and normal human use — even heavy use — rarely reaches it. If your work genuinely needs more premium hours, write to support@scribefyapp.com and we'll figure it out.
It comes with annual Unlimited. If the plan isn't for you, email support@scribefyapp.com within 30 days of purchase: we refund your yearly payment minus the audio you actually transcribed, priced at our standard minute-pack rate, and support processes it within a few business days. That's the whole policy. No forms, no hoops.
AXM Intelligence LLC — the company that owns and operates Scribefy. Card statements show the billing company rather than the product name, so your statement is expected to read AXM Intelligence instead of "Scribefy". Same product, same team, and we repeat this note right on the checkout page so it never comes as a surprise. If a charge ever looks unfamiliar, write to support@scribefyapp.com before disputing it — we'll confirm it in minutes.
Connect your Plaud in about a minute. Transcribe your first recording before your coffee cools, and keep every word.
